Lord God, once again we present ourself just as we are, and again we breathe in and breathe out in Your love, letting go of any concerns.

Rather than approach what this blessing is by waiting upon You, let us go to You. Let us move our consciousness, move every level of our being to You, so that we are willing to change.

We are willing to do whatever it takes to be with You. We are willing to give up anything to be with You. As we make that claim, whatever comes before us to show how we stop ourselves and hold ourself back, we do ask that You would extend to us, that You would assist us in Your strength, Your guidance, Your protection so that we can and will let go of whatever limitations confront us.

We ask for Your peace so that as we again turn toward the circumstances of our life, we do meet those circumstances in the consciousness that overcomes.

We are joyful as You are joyful, truthful as You are truthful, and strong, healthy, and vibrant just as You are. We can become one with you.

Whenever we find ourselves frustrated, discouraged, hurt or angry or anything like that, we are reminded once again that it is You in whom we breathe and do all things. All things are possible.

What you bring about is everlasting change always for the better, always for the good of everyone and everything. In this moment we reach toward ourselves to again bless You, to give to You, and make an offering that is received.

We are grateful.

Blessing for the Light that Brings Peace from John Morton

Let’s do a clearing so that we can invoke our powers to be at peace. Right where you are, place yourself in the Light that is peace. Let’s experience it as a light above our head. There it is above your head, and it has a quality that you can sense, that pours into you. So you might experience it like a liquid or a balm of some kind. It’s tangible.

You feel this light pouring into your cells. It can be one cell. It can be a whole group of cells so you feel it in your flesh and bones and your tissues. This light keeps pouring into you from the top of your head and around you so that you’re being bathed in this light that is peace, and being cleansed inwardly. It goes all the way to your feet.

This light is poured through your body and fills you. You are immersed in it. One of the sensations of this light is that you are at ease because you are protected. This light has the ability to keep things away from you so that no disturbance or irritation can come your way as you bathe in this light. This light relaxes you because you know you can let go. You experience the comforting and relaxation that integrates you so no part of you is still holding on as this light relaxes every part.

This light is a penetrating light, soothing and nurturing you. Whatever can be removed, so that you are clear and free in your consciousness, is being done and it evaporates. You don’t have to do anything. Just be present with the light. The light knows what to do and does it instantly.

Now we take our consciousness that is this peace and to visualize whatever we see is also being immersed in this light that is the peace. We know that this comes from a divine source and that we are willing to ask for it to be sent, first to those who call out for the peace. Let them be filled with it so that the work of peace can be done.

To those who do not understand that peace is present, this light goes to them and to all who are suffering or in pain, wherever there is violence and to whoever is acting in violence. This light goes to them. There’s protection. It’s done freely without infliction. So send it to the places in the world that are disturbed, where people are in conflict or there is war or there is any kind of suffering or injustice. We see this light in all places upon the planet. Let your consciousness be shown what the light is doing for each person, for all people in every situation.

There’s an important quality that you can exercise as you place this light of peace and that is to behold that it is done. So free yourself of any doubts, and place the purpose of your consciousness, that you do have this power and it is done, because you are aligned with the will of the Father. It is the will of the Father that we come to peace, that we let go of our separation and the causes of war and difficulty.

You have the power to behold harmony and understanding, to see people waking up to the power of love and realizing that this is the true nature of all, putting aside the differences, having the willingness to be first and to step forward in peace first, having the courage, the strength, and the purpose. Now we take this peace so that your consciousness is anchored in this purpose and you can go into your life more than ever before as a peacemaker, as one who comes in peace, who is willing to talk in peace and think in peace. You are being transformed and taking on a greater dedication to peace. Now we take a moment for the celebration of peace that’s in the world, and we are happy again.

As it can behold peacefulness in your consciousness, it is done.

Dear Lord, we give thanks for the opportunity to come before you as those who fully embrace all that you are. So we know there is a beginning that is your acceptance, that you have issued your creation in acceptance of all. So if you allow it, it is part of the perfection. So we have put aside our differences, whatever conflicts we have been holding. We now ask that this resolution with your blessing deepen to the very core of our being, so that whatever is our choice, we choose back freely, openly, and completely. We choose to celebrate your creation, to rejoice another day, another year before us. We rejoice in this lifetime, that we do this for ourselves, as is the responsibility to love and take care of ourself. And we also are resolved to do this for others. And yea for all of your creation, that we stand before you in the spirit, radiating this love that you are. This blessing goes to all of your creation. So we are integrated with your loving and the truth of your loving, that we proclaim clearly and fully, with all of our strength, that we do love you as has been the commandment that has come forward through the ages. And we discover you have always loved, that we are never forsaken. So all of that is dissolving from our eyes, from our inner holding. So the solution is what we are immersed in in this moment. This peace is full, this love is full, this joy is full this day. We claim ourselves as those who go forward in your love, in your light, in celebration. And when we come upon first ourselves, once again in any way forgetting that we are divine, and looking upon the distortion, in any way seeing in darkness and negativity, we ask that you may have mercy on our soul as you always have such that we are awake in your love, full in our awareness and consciousness of your love, that this is our truth that goes forth to all from us, that in our vision we can behold a world of celebration, that we can let ourself see that we are children of God in your kingdom rejoicing, knowing your will is done always and forever more.

Blessing of Anchoring the Beloved by John Morton

In this moment and in the eternal moment that is always now, we claim the Beloved. We hold it to ourself as the Presence, that it is done.

Our life purpose is fulfilled already with great patience that endures past all the trials and tribulations. Whatever is before us while we remain in this world, we claim the Light that overcomes and always solves, restores and renews. We put our life again into that consciousness of the Beloved that is in perfect harmony, that resonates as the Christ, that loves and gives peace to all.

We anchor it into this place, into our body and we radiate it into the world. We let go and release whatever would be the unnecessary limitations.

In our radiant being, we see the Beloved in all.

Blessing of Sweet Surrender by John Morton

Lord God, here we are again, presenting ourselves such as we are. We take a moment to pause, so You may stir what is unconscious in the way that is of the truth, of our higher nature.

We ask that You simply point out to us anything that we could sacrifice. If there is resistance from our perceptions, we ask that You assist in the way of understanding so we may freely let go and trust that You are leading us constantly.

We come into a consciousness to be Your students, to learn from Your exampleship. May we put aside whatever we have held as beliefs that are not true, that function in illusion.

Bathe us, cleanse us. Let us freely give up any darkness, any attachment in whatever does not serve.

For those of us who are exhausted, tired, frustrated, or in any way shut down, we ask for Your strength and healing to continue with enthusiasm and joy. You are the Lord that restores, redeems, and makes new again.

For some of us, You show that we must forgive. We must release the judgments if we are to behold Your mercy and grace.

We can see those who are our friends, the ones we know who come from Spirit, are gathering around us and holding light and love, sustaining until we do let go.

We understand that all of Your creation, whatever has gone before in our existence, is converted into our friend in all these experiences.

Stand tall inside of us as our wisdom, our knowledge and our liberation.

You stand before us as the one we know as the Christ and the Traveler, and with all those who share in that way.

The Blessings of the Gulf Oil Spill by John Morton

To best serve the Gulf of Mexico, ourselves, and our world, I encourage focusing and having faith in the power of divine love. By focusing on bringing greater good into manifestation, there can be a returning to the natural order that thrives and creates bounty.

Dr. Masaru Emoto, a scientist from Japan who has done considerable research about the characteristics of water, recently issued a prayer for the Gulf of Mexico. He suggested sending “the energy of love and gratitude to the waters and all living creatures in the Gulf of Mexico and its surroundings.” Dr. Emoto proposes that by our holding the intention of peace towards water ― “by thinking, speaking and acting with the intention of peace toward water ― water can and will bring peace to our bodies and to the world.”

We are creators, and we have the ability to be fully endowed and functioning as co-creators with God. As co-creators, we can look for and claim the blessings for the situation in the Gulf. I see the value in a simple and direct prayer that spontaneously comes from each person’s intention and willingness to ask for assistance through the consciousness that serves all regardless of the conditions and how they have been created. Rather than focus on blame, we need to focus on what can be done to improve the situation even at the smallest seemingly insignificant level like a spoonful at a time. There is an increase from the divine that rewards correct thoughts and actions so they can be inexplicably multiplied. If a billion people removed a spoonful every second for an hour, that just might turn the tide. Having the intention and the willingness to do something to help, a spoonful at a time, just might bring the ability to do it a million barrels an hour and then a million barrels a minute.
Some people have mentioned to me that perhaps our prayers may not be answered because what’s being requested isn’t for the highest good of all concerned. They have suggested that we simply choose to accept what’s happening in the Gulf. While acceptance is a necessary first step, and the first law of Spirit, the situation calls for cooperation with what serves to keep the oil from going into the water, collect the oil already in the water, and clean the oil from whatever has been contaminated.

Rather than choosing only to accept the conditions, let’s strive to contribute greater to the natural order that thrives. When our children are not well, we don’t leave them or the situation just at acceptance. We strive to do whatever we can so they may be healthy and happy, which is their natural way of being once disturbance and disease are resolved.

In any situation, we can choose to move past acceptance into fully cooperating with the conditions that are present and do our best to make them better. This leads to greater understanding and reveals resolution and long-term solutions. Not so long ago there were lakes and rivers choked by pollution so the wildlife could not survive. Those same lakes and rivers have been cleaned and restored so the wildlife is again thriving.

There is no limit to the blessings that can become manifest other than what we can handle and more importantly what we choose to behold. So let us consider that this is yet another time of testing, especially for all involved and affected by the conditions in the Gulf of Mexico. How each person responds, regardless of the conditions, is what determines what will follow as an experience and the results that transform the disturbance to greater good. Through our cooperation, we can choose and actively contribute to restoration and renewal of pristine conditions that make for thriving.

When the earth has been upturned through upheaval and severe change, there is an opportunity to plant what is to be harvested. In this and every situation, find the seeds of what you want to become — within you, within others, and with God. Envision what you want the situation to become. To do so, remember to connect to the divine source first, through prayer and inner communion with each breath, with each thought, and with each action. Let us trust that within the divine order is all that is needed not just to survive but to thrive. What is needed is to be open to realizing what can replenish and resolve followed by doing what is needed to create what is needed for the blessings to become manifest.

Trust that this, too, shall pass and that a new day is at hand bringing new life thriving in beauty and grace. Let what must pass go in peace so we may now look to that new day. Let us choose to behold all the good that can come from the oil spilling into the Gulf and resolve to help with the blessings.

A Blessing for Courage from John Morton

Lord God, we ask right now that you assist each of us to let go of any interference and anything that would restrict or block us unnecessarily or cause misunderstanding or confusion.

We place all of that in the Light that it may be lifted.

We trust that what You bring forward to us is a clear view into Your living truth which is unconditional love, the love of Your creation. May we fully see, hear and know what that is.

With our trust, our acceptance, and our cooperation, we put aside whatever we have placed in any way that can interfere.

We surrender to that which is Your will, the will that considers the highest good of all concerned, to the smallest and to the greatest dimension.

We know that this is an eternal request, a request of the Soul, as we fulfill our purpose in this world and what we came here to do in love.

We are open to Your guidance, however that takes place within us, in whatever way You can reflect that guidance to us.

We come to You in the innocence and purity of children. We come to You in the willingness to learn, so we are humble.

We ask for Your courage, Your strength, and whatever willingness is required of each of us so we may fully participate.

If we find ourselves being tested, in any way experiencing our own resistance, the resistance of others or wherever it might be, we ask to have the openness to face it and to draw upon what we can do in our own way to cooperate with You and what You offer to us as Your blessings.

We strive to be in alignment with the truth that is before us.

We come in forgiveness. We come in the Light.

We come in the eternal trust that You have placed in us from the beginning.

With our dedication and our willingness to consecrate ourselves to this sacred purpose, we accept Your will is done.

Answer: The blessing in fear is that fear teaches us what we need to learn how to overcome. It teaches us where our strength and courage are which is within. Fear will also teach us where our fear is. So fear is going to show us things that, perhaps in our wisdom and practical nature, we might realize we would rather not do.

Extending the Blessings of Loving by John Morton

We all have the conscious opportunity to extend and expand love by being aware that loving is always present. Even when we don’t necessarily think something is loveable, love is there. So remember to bring the love to the little things. First, for yourself. So take care of yourself and extend loving first to yourself to make sure it’s intact.

I often talk about starting out the day doing what I consider a check list where I engage in the light and love. My life doesn’t always allow me to have an extended period of time doing so. Sometimes I just have a few moments and that’s about it. But it’s essential to me to take that opportunity to engage myself inwardly spiritually first thing when I awaken. So I ask to surround, fill and extend the light and love into my day as I move forward. I remember that the light goes before me and prepares the way. And all the things that come during the day, expected or unexpected, wanted or unwanted, are part of that light action.

At times, I find myself tested because I don’t necessarily register that I like or love everything. So it’s important to engage my own trust and faith that any situation or circumstance is of God, and therefore, is loved. We are always loved by God, and God’s loving is limitless. God’s loving doesn’t stop upon any condition. So in the very smallest to the very greatest, God is loving.

To look for God is to look to the loving, consider the loving, and find your loving and the loving of all. When you take exception and say something isn’t worthy of loving,
you’re saying that it is not of God. The willingness to look for the love, to focus on the loving, is the greatest key I know to discovering who God is. And whenever you choose loving, you bless yourself and everything around you with God’s love.

Extend your love to others, especially if you happen to notice that somebody doesn’t seem to be loving themselves. That’s an important time to extend your love, which can be very a quiet process where you just silently love them in your own way. However, extending your love can also be quite demonstrative.

A friend of mine told me about an experience he had while standing in the back of a grocery line, waiting to get to the cashier. There was a mother nearby with her young son who was acting up and being his free self in a way that the mother didn’t find appropriate or agreeable. So the mother was letting the boy know her disagreement with him, and she became more and more loud and demonstrative. My friend found the situation disturbing and uncomfortable, first for himself and then for others in the line as well. He said the situation became so loud and demonstrative that the next lines over were also becoming disturbed by the exchange. He didn’t really know what to do about it but felt like he was building up to doing something. So he moved away from his spot in the line to a couple of aisles over where he was then standing by himself. Then he yelled, “KINDNESS!”

He was rather startled because actually the attention of everybody then went towards him, including the mother and the little boy. People actually looked at him and smiled, and he sensed their gratitude in their silent messages that suggested, “Thank you. We needed that.”

Loving knows no bounds or barriers. We are the ones who choose to allow circumstances and perceptions to interrupt our experience of the loving. Love is never stopped. Love is present always. At times, we may decide that loving is absent. We are then called upon to find our trust and faith in loving. We are to be patient and keep our willingness and trust that a new experience of loving is forthcoming.

Difficulty can occur if we carry a negative attitude towards what we are experiencing. Consider that whenever you are involved with someone or something that you find loveless, unlovable, or where love would not go, that is only because you perceive it that way, not because it’s true. You can change your perceptions. In actuality, such a person or situation needs loving more than ever. Be heroic in your loving, knowing God is already completely loving and is waiting for you to join in.

Challenge yourself to seek, find, and choose the loving. Then you will create more opportunities to better know yourself through the blessings of loving.
